Chauffeur Muscat arranges private transport between independently booked hotels in Oman, with an English-speaking driver and a vehicle selected for your route and luggage. Connect stays in Muscat, Nizwa, Jebel Akhdar or Jebel Shams and Wahiba Sands, with stops such as Wadi Bani Khalid agreed in advance. Pickup points, driving days, waiting time and the total transport price are confirmed in writing.
You may already have a few nights in Muscat, a mountain hotel and a desert camp on your calendar. The remaining question is how to move between them comfortably, with your suitcases, without driving yourself or returning to the capital after every visit.
Send us your accommodation names and travel dates. We can help turn those separate reservations into a workable transport plan, leaving room for the places you want to see between check-out and check-in.
Send Your Hotel Route for a Private Driver Quote
Can You Book the Driver Separately from Your Hotels?
Yes. You can arrange your own accommodation and request the transport separately. Your enquiry can cover one hotel move, several transfers on different dates or a vehicle and driver retained for agreed touring days.
The arrangement depends on how you want to spend your time:
- A direct transfer takes you from one agreed address to the next.
- A transfer with sightseeing includes named stops and an agreed amount of waiting before your final drop-off.
- A reserved touring day keeps the vehicle available within confirmed hours for the agreed programme.
If you plan to spend two nights relaxing at a resort, tell us whether you need any driving during that stay. We can then quote the transfers or reserved service you actually request. A hotel night does not, by itself, define the driver’s working hours or availability.
Connect Muscat, Nizwa, the Mountains and the Desert
Start with the places where you will sleep, then decide which visits fit between them. This makes it easier to protect time at your hotels and avoid an overfilled travel day.
| Journey you can request | What to include in your enquiry |
|---|---|
| Muscat hotel to Nizwa hotel | Both property names, departure time and whether you want to visit Nizwa before checking in |
| Nizwa to a Jebel Akhdar hotel | The mountain property, luggage details and any planned stops; the vehicle must meet the mountain’s 4WD access requirement |
| Nizwa to a Jebel Shams stay | The exact accommodation or viewpoint and any walking plans, so the final approach and waiting can be assessed |
| Mountain hotel to Wahiba Sands | The camp name, its arrival instructions and whether the destination is camp reception or a meeting point |
| Wahiba Sands to Muscat via Wadi Bani Khalid | Camp departure arrangements, the time you want at the wadi and your final Muscat address |
These are separate journey options across your holiday. They are not a promise to cover every destination in one day.
For example, your plan might include a Muscat-to-Nizwa transfer with a visit before check-in, a later move to Jebel Akhdar, and a separate journey to your desert camp. Wadi Bani Khalid could be requested on the return journey, subject to the schedule and conditions.
If you only need the direct city journey, see our Muscat to Nizwa private transfer for that specific service.
A Mountain Hotel Needs an Exact Destination
“The mountains” is not a complete drop-off address. Jebel Akhdar and Jebel Shams are different destinations, and the hotel name matters when selecting the vehicle and planning the day.
Jebel Akhdar requires a 4WD vehicle for the mountain access road. Anantara’s published Jebel Akhdar arrival guidance also confirms this requirement. Request the correct vehicle when booking; the appearance of a large SUV alone does not establish its drivetrain.
For Jebel Shams, send the accommodation name and any instructions supplied by the property. A hotel transfer, a viewpoint visit and a day with a longer walk require different schedules. If you plan to hike, agree on the meeting point and collection time as part of the booking.
Make the Desert Camp Handover Clear
For a Wahiba Sands stay, also known as Sharqiyah Sands, forward the camp’s directions before accepting your transport quote. The important detail is where the booked journey ends.
Your arrangement should specify either a confirmed transfer to the camp itself in a suitable vehicle, or a drop-off at an agreed meeting point followed by a separately arranged camp transfer. If another vehicle is involved, confirm who provides it, what it costs, how the luggage is transferred and where you meet the next morning.
Check the camp’s preferred arrival time before adding several stops to the outward journey. Leaving enough time to settle in can matter more than adding another attraction.
Transport to your accommodation does not automatically include a sunset drive, dune driving, camel rides or other camp activities. Check those against the camp reservation or request them separately.
Add Wadi Bani Khalid Without Rushing the Next Transfer
A Wadi Bani Khalid stop works best when you describe the visit you want. A short look around, time for photographs and a longer visit with swimming need different waiting allowances.
Tell us your preference before the journey is priced. Vehicle access and the agreed meeting point are separate from the time you spend exploring on foot. Swimming is optional and depends on local conditions and access; it should not be treated as a guaranteed activity.
Keep anything you need for the stop in an accessible day bag. If you have an evening flight or a fixed hotel arrival requirement, share that deadline so we can assess the stop realistically.
Your Luggage Travels Between Stays Too
A car used for sightseeing from one hotel may only carry day bags. A hotel-to-hotel journey must accommodate everyone and all their luggage at the same time.
Send the number of adults and children, large suitcases and cabin bags. Mention a pushchair, mobility equipment or unusually bulky items. In vehicles with a third row, using more seats can reduce the remaining baggage space.
Request child seats in advance with the children’s ages, and explain any difficulty entering a high vehicle. We confirm the available arrangement before booking. If you prefer a particular make or model, ask for it explicitly so the quote can reflect availability and route suitability.
What Does Private Transport Between Oman Hotels Cost?
Hotel-to-hotel transport is quoted for the private vehicle and the agreed journey. The total depends on your dates, vehicle, route, service hours, sightseeing stops and whether the driver is reserved across several days.
| Service | Price basis |
|---|---|
| Direct hotel-to-hotel transfer | Written quote for the agreed pickup and destination |
| Transfer with sightseeing stops | Written quote including the route and agreed waiting |
| Several transfers or a retained driver | Written quote identifying each service date and any reserved days |
| Private 4WD day hire from Muscat | From OMR 150 per vehicle for 10 hours; route and final price confirmed before booking |
The published 4WD with driver service is a reference for that day-hire product. Its starting rate is not a fixed price for every mountain transfer, desert journey or complete holiday.
When comparing quotations, check that each covers the same hotel addresses, stops, vehicle and hours. Ask for fuel, parking, any driver overnight expenses, additional waiting and camp transfers to be identified as included or separately charged. Your own hotels, meals, entry tickets, activities and guiding are separate unless expressly included.
Travellers sharing one confirmed vehicle can divide its transport cost between them. A larger party may require a different vehicle, so passenger and luggage details remain part of the quote.
English-Speaking Driver or Tour Guide?
An English-speaking driver can help you communicate about pickup locations, departure times, comfort stops and the agreed journey. That does not automatically include guided visits inside attractions or a specialist guide for walks and activities.
If detailed cultural commentary or guided sightseeing is important to you, request it when sending your route. We can review the guiding requirement and confirm availability and any additional charge separately.
The same applies to an activity booked through a hotel or camp: tell us its start and finish times so the driving schedule can fit around it.
How to Request a Useful Quote
You do not need a polished itinerary. A simple list of your overnight stays is enough to begin the discussion. Send:
- Travel dates and the hotel or camp name for each night.
- The days on which you need to change accommodation.
- Your group size, children’s ages and luggage details.
- Sightseeing stops or booked activities you want to include.
- Airport details if either end of the journey involves a flight.
- Vehicle preferences, child-seat requests or mobility considerations.
For example: “We have hotels booked in Muscat, Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar, followed by one night in Wahiba Sands. We need transfers between them and would like to stop at Wadi Bani Khalid before returning to Muscat. Please quote for two adults and two large suitcases.”
We review availability and the proposed journeys before providing a written quotation. Check the allocated vehicle, service dates, hours, pickup and drop-off points, payment arrangements and cancellation terms before confirming.

Questions About Booking a Private Driver Between Hotels
Can I keep the same driver throughout my holiday?
You can request the same driver and vehicle for several days. Availability and allocation must be confirmed, especially if your plan includes days without transport or a separate camp vehicle.
Can my journey start at Muscat Airport?
Yes, airport pickup can be requested as part of your transport plan. Send the flight number, arrival date and first destination so the pickup arrangements and applicable waiting allowance can be confirmed.
Can I book just one journey, such as Nizwa to Wahiba Sands?
Yes. Send your Nizwa pickup address, camp name, travel date and luggage details. The quote will identify the destination or camp meeting point and any separately arranged final transfer.
Will the driver wait while I visit an attraction?
Yes, when that waiting is included in the booking. A direct drop-off and a sightseeing transfer have different service requirements. Include your planned visits before accepting the quote.
Is a return to Muscat included?
Only if it appears in your confirmed itinerary. A transfer to another hotel ends at the agreed destination; a later return or onward journey needs its own place in the booking.
Can we spend a full day at our hotel without using the car?
Yes. Tell us which dates require transport and which are hotel days. The quote should explain whether the driver is retained during the stay or whether your next transfer is a separate arrangement.
Can I change a hotel or add a stop after booking?
Contact us with the revised address or stop as early as possible. Changes depend on vehicle availability, driving time and route suitability, and may change the price. Revised arrangements should be confirmed before travel.
What happens if weather affects a mountain or wadi visit?
Access and road conditions may require a change to the proposed journey. We will discuss the available arrangement for your booking; any cancellation, rescheduling or refund is governed by the terms agreed when you book.
